Last weekend the international Peel and Maas Challenge was raced again ... sadly enough I wasn't around to go and see and have some talk with competitors and visitors, fellow sled dog lovers. ;) Below you'll find a movie showing the dogs in action and a few short interviews.
Most of you know that I'm not the biggest fan of the 'most used operating system' and use other OS's that fill my need. Also my love for BeOS still remains and is getting a boost with the progress Haiku is making with each step forward. As a side note I sometimes try out other linux distro's (using xubuntu as my main OS atm) and one of them is Elive. A very fast system build on the Enlightenment window manager. Compiz on the other hand brought nice effects to the os. Well words can only say so much ... take a look at the video and let it impress you in a way words can't. ;)
This is a Special version of Elive for compiz-lovers, if you want a Stable system use a normal Elive version instead. Ecomorph is in development and you could have some errors or strange problems in your graphical system. You are warned, but in any case we invite you to enjoy it :)

Yesterday it was time to go to a dogshow again, it has been 2 months already since we visited the last one. ;)
In Eindhoven it was the annual KC De Kempen dog show. Inside the exhibition hall it was crowded and packed with all competitors and a great variety of dogs.
We entered as always with Qannik and Galinka, Qannik made a nice 3 Exc. in the male section and Galinka made 1 Excl.! bringing here the first youthCAC!! Congrats to Galinka and Lisette.

Galinka really made a big jump forward and we are very happy to see here as she is at the moment.
Yes! We are back on par with SDL games on Haiku. Seems that there was a problem with the sdl_image library, but after a fresh new compile I managed to get the games back working again.
Time to start enjoying Fish Fillets NG, TuxMath, TuxPaint, TuxType, ScummVM and all the other games again!!!

I'm interested in the use and development of alternative OS's, started with Linux (RH 5.1) I finaly came to BeOS with R5 witch I liked so much that I still use ZETA now (witch is based on BeOS).
Recently fell in love (again) with the siberian husky and made the move to do some show handling myself (with some help from our friends).
